These animal sculptures made of Daikon radishes — a winter root vegetable native to Asia — look almost too good to eat.
For a new book called “Grated Daikon Art,” Tokyo-based viral radish artist Masanori Kono compiled a series of radish sculpture ideas meant to spruce up Japanese hot-pot dishes called nabe. The book features a collection of Kono’s own sculptures, credited to his alias KimimaRock, as well as creations by other artists.
